My name is Lauren Cellucci and I am a Senior at Fairfield University.

As part of the honors program, I need to complete a capstone project. This capstone can explore any topic of your choosing and take on any form.

I choose to look at the way literacy develops. As an English major in the Educational Studies program, much of my time at Fairfield University has been spent exploring how and why we learn. Literacy is a learned behavior through sponsorship.

Literacy can take on many forms. Reading and writing is just one form of literacy. Another form of literacy may be the understanding and implementation of Jesuit Values. Over four years I developed this literacy as a jesuit identity became engrained in my everyday life.

This project reflects on my Jesuit Education.

It is a reflection of who I was, who I became, and where I will go as a result of my newfound jesuit identity.
