Reflection

To be a contemplative in action means to be engaged in your intellect. That is, you take the time to stop and understand what is going on in the world around you. You stop and acknowledge what you have been  doing, and then you reflect on your actions. This reflection helps us to make decisions in our own active lives.1

Fairfield University “[…] encourages a respect for all the disciplines – their similarities, their differences, and their interrelationships.”2 This respect comes from being a contemplative in action. It comes from understanding your actions. As jesuit student, I have embodied this practice of reflection and it has become a subconscious component of my everyday life.
